random thursday

Hi everyone!

Sometimes I'm going to do theme days.  

Remember when I said I wasn't going to do theme writing?  I guess I lied a little bit.  

I won't do theme writing every weekday, just whenever I feel like it.  And they will be:

Man Candy Monday: Monday is my "I'm going to brag on all things TOM" day.  And Jude, cuz he's our little man.

Tuesday Tunage:  Tuesday will be all about music.  Since I majored in it in college, it might be "scholarly" stuff like Mozart and Beethoven, but it could also very well be Mumford and Sons.  Stay tuned.

*That pun was disgusting.  I'm sorry you had to read that.  Stay tuned.  Gross.*

Vino Vednesday:  I'm going to drink wine, then write about it.  Friends welcome!!  Or, I just might show up at your house with a bottle, then demand that you drink it with me, pose for pictures, and be a part of the blog post on that particular Vednesday.

Random Thursday:  Welcome; today is the first!

...and so begins Random Thursday.

I'm working on getting my Master's degree and I am taking two classes:  Instructional Technology and Student Diversity.  The class I took before these two was Educational Research.  I hated Ed Research with a fiery passion.  Ask me about the teacher sometime. 

I could watch my baby son sleep all day...especially when he's got his pacifier...it is so stinkin' cute and it makes me want to squish his little face!!

Right before I started this blog post, Tom and I sang a Beatles song together.  That happens a lot at the Kirby house.  Now his guitar is on the couch and I don't know where he is.  Tom, where are you?

Our backyard neighbors have a Great Dane.  I like to feed her pieces of burgers and chips through the fence when we are out grilling.  I call her the Neighborhood Pony.

I used to be a pottery instructor.  I have been meaning to get a membership to MacNider ever since I moved to Mason City 10 years ago.  Someone remind me of that sometime.

And one more for Random Thursday -- Tom might be the only person in the world who would rather watch the Cubs game over the NBA Finals tonight.
